END REPRESSION AGAINST BAŞPINAR WORKERS – FREE MEHMET TÜRKMEN NOW!

Our Union President Mehmet Türkmen Has Been Detained Again
Our General President, Mehmet Türkmen, was once again detained today while meeting with workers at the union building. This marks the second time he has been taken into custody since Friday, a clear sign that the repression against him is becoming systematic.
The crackdown on BİRTEK-SEN and Başpınar workers is escalating. In Antep, workers’ constitutionally protected rights to protest and strike are being crushed at the behest of the bosses. Public squares are off-limits to workers, and bans continue under the pretext of the state of emergency.
Yet despite detentions, bans, and systematic attacks, Başpınar workers refuse to back down. From Antep, we call on the international labor movement: stand with us in solidarity! Unions, worker organizations, and all those who fight for labor rights—raise your voices against poverty wages and support the struggle of Başpınar workers!
Başpınar Workers Stand Firm in Their Demands!
• A 65% wage increase across all factories
• Annual bonuses equal to two months’ wages, paid during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha
• The return of confiscated bank promotions to workers
• An end to unfair tax bracket deductions that cut into workers’ wages
These are not luxuries—they are fundamental labor rights. Workers’ demands must be met immediately!
We Call on the International Labor Movement to Take Action!
Repression will not break us. Solidarity will make us stronger.
WE WILL WIN TOGETHER!
